Sunday

Click on the pictures for a larger view. In the "sleeping" picture, if you look closely, it looks like an orange and white stripe cat under scattered black tipping. Amazing coloration. Check out Karen C's blog for info on KC's stay Friday and a truly great limerick by Midnight:

It has been an amazing day already. Never got back to sleep, but that's okay. Since that one time yesterday, there have been no more accidents. Got a larger litterbox today, KC loves it.
She hid under Charley's recliner and slept for hours. She got up a few minutes ago. First, she used her litterbox. Then she kept coming up to my leg, making that pitiful little mewing sound.
Finally, I decided to try the cat food Deb brought for her. I barely got the can open -- she was on the counter by me -- she tried to get that little nose in the can. She gobbled about two TBLs of food. Then she had some water and discovered Missy's kitty grass. She batted that around for a few minutes.
I was worried she ate too fast. She wanted to play. When I ignored her, she climbed up my pants leg!!! No ignoring this little peanut.
While I played with her, checked her motor skills t r <-- KC did that!, reasoning, etc. she is perfect. We played for almost 40 minutes, then she wanted to go to sleep by me on the table. If I leave right now, she starts crying.
You can probably tell, this is my first kitten! Charley better get up soon and start bonding with KC. Right now, she's MY kitten!!!

ML - Kittens are so much fun! And just like a human baby, all they do is sleep, eat, play & potty! Have Missy & KC had anymore encounters?

KC and the Giggleman Kitties said...

No, Missy is asleep with Charley (which is unusual, she's on the bed by him!). And I have little KC here in the front room.

A neighbor came over to see KC and brought her barking dog. I had to ask her to leave, the dog was stressing KC so much.

Hi Retta! I'm "Queen Mum" to the "Young Royals" - Brutus and Marigold! Your sister is the most remarkable Lady I've ever been blessed to know! And, a little bird told me you are, too! I hope to see you bloggin' around a lot!
p.s. I think my Emily (HM the Queen) has a secret, well, "admiration" for Rock Star!!
SO MUCH WOOFIE FUZZ! He's really cute!
Hope to sort out a few new pics of Our Royal Family for posting Tomorrow, come visit if you get the chance! Actually, now that you've posted, you are required to visit everyone's blog! LOL!
nice to meet you!

Hi, Retta,
So you are the sister of the quiet, shy, meek, retiring Deb.
[clears throat] Actually those were her words. J/K

Deb is a real change agent and I am very glad to have met her. And it is so good to have you posting, hope we see more of you around.

Riquel (riquel_stewart@yahoo.com) maintains a list so you can get all the screen names, real names, cat names, cat nicknames, dogs, etc. somewhat straight.

And Kat has added a "fuzz pack" vocabulary link on her page that should help with some of our crazy abbreviations. Kat's blog is Kat's Cat of the Day (http://www.katscatoftheday.blogspot.com/).

Rocky is adorable. I suggested clothes and accessories, of course, she had already done that. Sigh.

Again, hope to see you on all the blogs...there's a list on my main page!

What a darling baby! And learning so fast ... isn't it amazing how much they learn in a single day at this early age?

Gorgeous.

Looks like KC matches Patches and Mittens. Sooo cute, all of them.

Retta of course Rocky counts. He's a fuzzy isn't he?? I count Amber as a fuzzy although right now she has been denuded of her fuzz. She had a puppy cut because of the heat and she is really thankful too. She hasn't panted near as much since I had her groomed. I'm trying to get a picture of her and post her on Casper's site.

Today was amazing. So many firsts. Since she is so frail, the most important thing was her food. She's been eating (making huge slurpy noises) about every 2-3 hours, about 2 TBL of the Hills Diet that Deb brought. She found the water bowls, she's memorized the layout of the rooms, she's already got her "back road" paths scoped out.
I can't wait to get to the vet tomorrow, really check her out.

Oh, such a sweet baby-I love the way they just drop where they are and fall asleep. That looks like two elbows and a nose-perfect three-point landing! You're right, ML, there ARE orange stripes under there. She'll be the strangest "Gorgeous Ginger" ever, but those stripes count!

RETTA--welcome to the Fuzz Pack. Maybe we should make Rocky an "Honorary Cat!" He is just adorable. Actually, you don't have to have a cat to join the fun, just show up! Are you really a Clown? How Neat!

Anyone who hasn't yet read Midnight's Limerick must do so--too funny.

OUR DEB-not only an "agent for change," as ML said, but also "She Who Must Be Obeyed." Just ask the shelter folks in CA.

I think I still hear music...5 part harmony coming from the Taylor Cat House...DLS...teeheehee. Oh, I'm also hearing 4 part harmony from Danielle's, and there would be three part, if Grr would quit with her growlerin' and hum! Grr-sing, please!! TEEHEEHEE!!!

Mumma, I was really worried about the way she sleeps, the first time she went into that position I thought she was going to throw up or gagging or something. But her nose is part of her support. And some part of her little arms bones are sticking up higher than normal.

I think they may have to create a new category for KC!

I love the "She Who Must Be Obeyed" for Deb...that should be her motto...no wait, it already is!!!!

And I still remember, "Hand over the cat and no one gets hurt". What an adventure.

Meowmepurr's Mumma said...

ML- She's on her little elbows, so her shoulders are up. It won't hurt her. As you've seen from some of the crazy kitten pictures, kittens can sleep in the most AMAZING positions! Unlike grown cats, kittens have very little dignity, so they will do all sorts of things that no self-respecting cat will do.

Sorry, looks like you and Karen are the last ones up--I'm for bed! Hope you get some sleep tonight.
