KC Has Company!

Look, it's Deb & Tatum. KC has grown a bit since Deb saw her last. This is almost five months to the day KC arrived (12/21/06).This is Deb holding KC the day she arrived in Houston (07/22/06)...
KC wants Tatum's camera strap for her collection!

It was a great visit, KC and Bear entertained us for a few hours. Missy made a brief appearance (not voluntary!) and quickly departed without explanation (maybe a slight hiss).

KC showed how she "drives" the red cube (from The 2 B's) around the house and over Bear. She demonstrated fetch techniques Bear taught her and showed off her climbing & leaping skills. Bear did what she does best, sat and looked adorable.

KC and Missy and Bear couldn't resist frolicing in the packing peanuts. It does look like snow, sorta. As close as we'll get here in Houston.

Today marks the 21st week anniversary of KC's arrival.

is i a tortie or a calico....?

per Dr. Smith -- KC is a CALICO!

But she is -- and will always be --

a TOUGH AS* TORTIE to me!

Dr. Smith (Houston Cat Hospital) loved her Offishul KC Ree-purrter Tee Shirt and the Cat Blogosphere Calendar. And Robyn -- who created the items -- probably felt her ears burning for hours (and the best part, 100% of the profit goes straight to needy families for the holidays).

KC had her stitch removed -- that's right, one stitch remained! She weighs 5 lbs 1 ounce, she has gained weight. KC scaled the office from floor to near ceiling, showing off her prowess at climbing and leaping. She is in purr-fect health, with silky, glossy fur, the biggest eyes -- just a "true goddess" of a cat. ahem, we had to pry KC away from Dr. Smith's vise-like grip.

pee ess to Kat: We did get some eye drops, Triple AB ointment, she had a slight eye infection.

...i's gotted a package in tha mail late last night. hee-hee. that's all i'm gonna say right now. 'k, sorry to keeps u waitin, jus wanted ta make sure it wuzn't a mustake. tha hansum Jack sended me the purrize he won fur Zeus' What's Your Reason Contest. 'member, tha one wif reazons why cats be better than mens? Jack won tha furrst prizie cause him had so many reazons (103) 'n effurryone of them was grreat.

He winned a reely neat book, "101 Reasons to Dump Your Man and Get a Cat". But -- i can't belief this -- he sended it ta me, which wuz so sweet. Wuzn't that just tha nicest thing? fanks so much, Jack, i's still can't belief u'd gif me ur's purrize.

pee ess: besides being a fearless viking warrior, Jack already be a published author, having written "Vishus Deer of the North" as a service to all cats effurrywhere.
