Monday Funday

KC is up on the cabinet, working to get the fake ivy on the ground...

...she gives up and is about to jump down...

... when she makes a discovery -- hey, there's some of my furriends!
See the photo of Oreo in the pictures above? This sweet cat is selling autographed photos to raise money for his Mommie Heather's huge doctor bills!
Oreo also has a CafePress shop where you can order customized gifts.
And directly under the gorgemous photo of Oreo is a Cat Blogosphere Calendar with the collage of all the blogging cats. All money from purchase (price less CafePress fees) is donated to our cat friends in need. These are two great ways to buy neat gifts and help others at the same time!

Wednesday
This is about as tough as the cats get on these cool, rainy days. Mostly they nap.
Missy has settled in for a nice round of munching on the fresh kitty grass.

KC pushes in and tries to get Missy to move, swatting with her paw.
Although I just missed it in the last photo,
Missy let out one of her famous Biggie Hissies and swatted back.
KC backed off (literally and figuratively).

Missy nibbled uninterrupted.
Guess Missy had a "Walk It Like You Talk It" moment there!

Former Feral Friday
Think it's fixed...!
She adores this box, going to let her keep this one.
You can see the golden paw and legs, barely, thru the peanuts.
She stretches out and buries her feet.

Thursday
Tuesday's ice storm arrived Wednesday, temps stayed at freezing all day,
never made the "high" of 38F predicted!
[Note: in Houston, any Winter weather is a Big Deal]
There was a tissue thin sheet of ice on everything...
...found a couple of icicles.
Missy thought it was great weather... for sleeping in.

The Tuxie Twins came out tonight when it warmed up to 35 F.
They stayed warm & dry in their custom-crafted shelter on the porch.

Wacky Wednesday
A huge box arrived this afternoon from the Kattonic Cats - Zippy, Sadie and Speedy. It was the fabulous prize package for being the "1000th bisiter" to their bloggie.
KC made me open it immediately. The first thing we saw was a beautiful sheet of pink paper with a very nice note. And they used pink paper just for KC! The box was full of good stuff. Temptations, Rawhide Mini Bones (for a mini-Poodle!), cans of Fancy Feast, Great Balls of Furs, a Large Furry Octopus, a stash of home-grown nip with a bunch of real fur mousies with fev-ver butts! And dark chocolate truffles for me (yum).
KC's favorite is the Large Fur Octopus with a tennis ball inside. I thought it was a dog toy, but KC said no, it was for her, and I didn't argue (too busy munching on the truffles). She uses the toy like a body buddy, hugging it with all four feet, chewing on the tenacles while rolling all over the place.
While KC played with her toy, Missy slipped the bag of nip away and settled down on top of it. The furry fev-ver butted mousies were packed inside, steeped in the potent nip. When I noticed, I took a few out for Missy with a little pile of the nip. You can see her lapping up the the nip, mumuring "nuffin like home grown nip".
Bear, who was tired from romping in the cold air (she loves it), shared a can of the Hearts and Livers Fancy Feast with KC. We put a mini-bone beside her to enjoy as she settled back to sleep.
Thank you, Zippy, Sadie, Speedy and Mom, for the wonderful prizes.

Test - Can Anybody See My Blog
One minute it was there, the next minute, just a blank page with the "dots" background. If I view the source on the blank page that is displayed, it ends abruptly at the footer code. Via Dashboard, I can view each post on the blog perfectly. Have a note in to tech support. If you can see this, please leave a comment. BTW, this is still on Old Blogger. Thanks, everyone, think they fixed the problem.

Tough A** Tortie Thursday

KC is still trying to figure out how to get the sole remaining basket of silk ivy down. This basket is secured since it is over the cooking area, but she diligently works on it daily. It's only a matter of time.
