Sol was brought out first and stayed in the big carrier...

... while ol' BJ tromps through the exam room....

Smokey was brought in last...

... and was the least radical of the three.

If you notice the cardboard carrier in the photo below,
the plan was one boy per carrier box.
It took BJ all of 20 seconds to chew and claw his way out.
Smokey simply collapsed his from the inside out.
Sol was in the fabric carrier, but so determined to get out
Leslie tie-wrapped the double zipper to keep him from opening it.

Using two borrowed reinforced plastic and wire crates,
with extra tie wraps at crucial points, we finally got the boys crated.
We made it out of the exam room to the check out counter.
Then the peeing began, shooting sideways out of the crates.
It couldn't have been an accident. (sorry, no photos)
The boys were definitely making a statement.
Annette, patient saint that she is, took each crate
and soggy cat to the back and cleaned them up.
Finally we got the crates outside and loaded into the back seat of the car.
We weren't out of the parking lot and the peeing started again.
Once home, I cleaned three smelly, disgusting cats.
Scrubbed down and cleaned the backseat of the car.
Hosed and cleaned the borrowed cages.
I fed the little traitors. They curled up on their favorite down quilt,
sound asleep, looking like little angels.
Anyway, they are home and they are healthy.
Glad you only go through this one time.

The kittens favorite place to watch TV and nap
is ready for the homecoming later today.
(
Very sad to see it so quiet and empty)
KC has been looking for them, crying and me-owing.
We can pick them up around 3 PM (central).
They are getting vaccinated and Dr. Smith wants to watch them for a few hours.
We'll have lots of photos and statistics on each kitten.
Also, we will get their reactions to their "surprise"!
Please keep
Miral,
Momo, and
Lilly Lu,
who are all very ill, in your thoughts and prayers today,
and Hottie's
Grandma Cat, who is having a heart procedure.
