Happy 1st Gotcha Day, Faith Boomerang!

Today is really a THANKFUL THURSDAY.

First, this is the one year anniversary of Faith's Gotcha Day.

One year ago, Faith's beautiful Momma Tortie carried her to our front porch and left her.
I saw Momma Tortie actually walking over with a kitten in her mouth, but did not realize she was bringing her to us. The night before, Margaret had seen Faith, only a few weeks old, fighting off a huge male cat.

There are tables loaded with food and goodies,
a room full of kitty trees and wall trails,
and a huge napping area.


The second thing to be thankful for is that KC is better.
She is sleeping most of the time. Her appetite is good and she even tried to play for a few minutes. Think the daily antibiotics are working.
Her little head is draining, so I'm hoping this is going away.
Unfortunately, I have a horrible bad headache and sneezing.
(You can't catch a sinus infection from a cat, can you????)

Sorry for the lack of pictures, but putting the tables up and getting the goodies together was about all I could manage.
KC and I (and our germs) will retreat to the back room while everyone enjoys the buffet.

Deb & KC Vet Updates (Tuesday)

Just talked to Deb. She is in a lot of pain, the last procedures didn't help. The doctor told her to "give it a little more time". She has another doctor appointment sometimes next week. Tatum was home until today for a long weekend.
Their home phone has been out for over a week, which explains why they never returned our calls.
FYI, Deb's computer is downstairs in the basement and she can't climb stairs right now, so don't look for new posts on her blog.

And we just got home from taking KC to the vet.
The URI is hanging on. KC got a shot and more meds, as well Viralys powder for all the Sherwood Bunch.
KC gained weight, the big cat now weighs 7.2 pounds, up from 7.15!

Easy Like Sunday Morning - Steaming KC

Several of you suggested "steaming" KC to help with her lingering URI.
We bought a vaporizer and the usual helpers were waiting to set it up.

Smokey, Faith Boomerang and Sol were attentive to every detail.

Faith-Boo took a special interest in the filtered water inside the unit.

She checked and re-checked...

...sampled and re-sampled...

...and finally agreed the unit was ready to use.

KC napped, wrapped in Sol's paws, right beside the vaporizer.
Thanks for the suggestions, she is breathing much easier now.
