Earth Day

Happy Earth Day, Critters & Beans!

We tries to cellybrate effurryday as Earth Day.

One simple fing to do to help... recycle mailing supplies.
Tha packages aren't as purrty, but it does help cut down on waste.
Also, mommy goes to Walmart early to get boxes an packing from tha stockers that they jus normally trash. Some of tha nice beans there even save them for hers. We use the catalogs from tha mail fur packing an ours shredded paper. Iffen you's ever gotted a package from us, you know this already. Hee hee.

Another fing we love to do is wrap packages in fabric rather than paper. Tha Japanese call these wrapping cloths, or furoshiki. Yous can use hankerchefs or scarfs or even a square of yours own fabric. You can find more simple direkshuns here.

Neat suggestions.

Jan packed a camera a couple months ago to send for repairs. She used wadded newspaper for padding. Guess they didn't like it. This time they sent her the box filled with -- oh that packing stuff, the bubblewrap, and even the tape to close it.

But we're sure you're a much better packer than Jan.

Goodness sakes we really have been out of it. Along comes Charlie. It's so great that a senior citizen is getting such great care. What am I saying I'm the same age! Great picture of you Faith Boo.

Happy Earth Day! Let's see, how do we save the Earth......we only use florescent bulbs and Christmas time we use LED lights. We recycle, have energy saving appliances and we have our food gardens started, how's that!=^Y^=the Cat Street Boyz

Oh, hey! Great suggestions! We just got the items we want to send to our bean's daughter-in-law for Mother's Day next month, and she thinks she'll try that second (from the left) method of wrapping it!

Thanks!!

::Swoon:: You look beautiful, KC! Even if your picture is backward! ;)

My OTW does that with cloth for presents-and the silk handkerchiefs she uses are even secondhand!! Also, she always saves all her boxes and wrapping stuff anyone sends her packages in to ship her art and stuff!

Happy Earth Day!
