Mancat Monday - Sol

When KC took the new kitty bed this weekend, it left her basket available.

Guess who got the basket?

Auntie Deb brought that for KC when she was a tiny kitten.

It was used by Momma Grace and her four kittens.

Now, after seeing KC, then Sol, Smokey, BJ and Faith Boo grow up, it is on its last legs.

Formerly Feral Friday - Missy Blue Eyes

Look at this sweet little girl. 

You'd never believe she was once a notorious feral, giving birth to her litter of kittens on the hood of a car under the hot August sun.

I'm so glad she came into my life, only wish I had her kittens, too.

For Miss Peach and Beignet... A Really Hard Day for the CB

The sweetest peach of all got her wings tonight... 

we will really miss this little red cat, Miss Peach.

Beignet ran off to the Bridge during surgery.

The Rainbow Bridge is a much sweeter place today, it has gained a peach and some sugar.

Little Beignet has cancer! 

He will have a second surgery tomorrow and needs purrs and purrayers. 

Mom Paula is heartbroken that he will not be coming home with Truffle.

Beau Beau came home!!!

a super-star when Kismet ran off to the Bridge. 

In his memory, we started Whisker Hump Wednesday, 

in celebration of Kismet's extraordinary huge whisker humps:

The idea for Whisker Hump Wednesday came from Teri and the cats of Curlz and Swirlz 

as posted in the comments on Skeezix’s Eulogy for the Big Dude. 

It was immediately seconded by Skeezy, 

thirded by Max, and I, KC, am announcing it to the entire CB!

And I believe Kismet would be proud.

I's Been Thinking.... Missy Blue Eyes

You 'member when I put tha big bitey on Mom ML?

I bited so hard my toofs got stuck in her hand. 

It healed a bit, but then she had to go back to the docktor again.

It is still swollen where the two toofmarks are on tha back of her right hand.

Yesterday it hurt really bad and started swelling again.

She's going back to the Doctor on Monday, 'cause she can't move her fingers.

I'm so sorry I bited her.

I'm miserable.

I feel really really bad.

How can I let her know how bad I feel?

... I gotted some of tha best, tenderest kitty grass stalks and put them on her pillow.
Plus tha leg of a big roach I killed the other day. It's tha biggest one I ever caught.

KC - Remembering Charlie Taylor

This is the second anniversary of the day sweet Charlie Taylor was helped to the Bridge.
It still seems like yesterday, when what was supposed to be a simple vet visit turned into a goodbye. 

In tribute, we are going to match Eric & Flynn's commentathon donation
to Mom Judi, Sammy, Andy and Shelly.

Update: All of us cats heres are feeling really good.
Eric & Flynn just sended a total of the donation and we matched it.
Plus bof of us added a sekrit gift amount.
We know our brofur Charlie Taylor would be very happy knowing we helped some furriends in hims memory.
Him loved haffing brofurs and sisfurs and furriends, him haffed been an only cat fur fourteen years.
And fanks fur all tha wonderful comments here today.
We's all got Charlie Taylor-shaped holes in our hearts,

Thankful Thursday - Faith Boomerang & Catmint

Hi everyone, Faith Boomerang here with a Thankful Thursday report.

 

I am thankful for the huge catmint plant growing on Mommy's bedroom window.

We've got pots of several kinds of yummy grasses on the windowsill.

And one day she brought home a tiny little plant.

She said it was called catmint and it has a euphoric effect on us cats.

She said it is also used in herbal teas as a sedative for hoomans.

But the best thing is it keeps the bugs away from the kitty grass.

An extract from this pretty plant is being used as a natural insect repellant.

And it is a hardy plant, cause it has survived months of Mommy ML's neglect special kind of care.

The room has a western exposure, so it gets tons of afternoon sun.

I love to come sit in the shade under this yummy smelling plant and nap.

I guess it is euphoric, that's why mine dreams are so happy in here.

I's resting from the trip to Bora Bora, staying in and staying cool.

I'm dreaming of Billy SweetFeets and

purring for our many, many sick furriends around the Cat Blogosphere.
Mine sisfur KC is getting sniffly, so she will probably go to the vet Monday. 

Mommy ML thinks my colorings are beautiful. I guess they are!
She says even my foot pads are gorgeous!

KC's Going Back to the Vet Today!

 

Here is KC with her favorite person in the entire world, Daddy Charley.

She will be seeing Dr. Smith & Jesse later today.

The infection is coming back and she is too sick and tired to put up much of a fight.

We'll post when we get home.

pee ess #1: Don't forget that KC's condition is chronic and was caused by being abandoned as a newborn. The best we can hope for is to keep the infections away with regular treatment.

pee ess #2: My hand looks a bit better, some of the swelling is gone. But the pain is just unbelievable. I am worried one of the tendons is damaged. The pain meds do no good at all, even doubling the doseage didn't help. I definitely will not wait until this Friday to go in for a check up, I may go this morning or Tuesday at the latest.
