Finally Rain - Missy Blue Eyes

All of a sudden, after months and months and months, the rain started! 

Then came the high winds and loud thunder.

Sol even stopped munching kitty grass to watch.
You can barely see across the street.

Missy turned around to look, then moved to the bed and fell asleep. 

Sol followed her and also fell asleep.

Boomerang watching the rain... she didn't want to get too close to the window!

BJ listened to the wind and loud thunder! 
We lost and regained power over a dozen times.

 

Smokey watched the rain and lightning from a safe distance.

Saturday the temps will be below 90F!!!

We are all so excited about the cool fall weather!

Sweet Faith Boomerang's furry little face may be predicting cold weather ahead.

Smokey loves to sleep on his back at the top of the kitty tree by the bar in the kitchen.

 

Fingers & paws crossed, we may get more rain today!!!!

Fankful Thursday - KC & Faith Boomerang - Nip Nannas

KC - Vet Visit

KC waits nervously for Dr. Smith.

Dr. Smith found lumps on KC's neck.

We have to watch them and report back ASAP if they grow or don't go away.

We are very worried.

KC had a busy day.

She got fluids, several shots, a mani-pedi and a thorough examination of the mysterious "lumps" on her neck.

Dr. Smith and Jessica tried without success to shave KC's neck in an effort to examine the lumps. 

If they don't improve, they will sedate her for the exam.

She has throat problems and a really bad allergy, plus the upper respiratory infection.

She slept all the way home, then had a treat can of A/D and went back to sleep.

Dr. Smith couldn't believe my hand was still swollen.

She said she could see the nerve damage when I try to move my fingers, it does not "work" right anymore.

Missing Cathy and a New Home for Beau - KC

The Cat Blogosphere lost a wonderful lady and I lost a good cat blogging friend.
I have been so sad I haven't been able to post.

Cathy and I were setting up a fundraiser to cover Beau's vet bills.

Beside my desk is a package of items she sent for me to auction.

And a Goodie Box I was filling with little things to cheer her up.

She was so worried the vet would find something wrong with her precious Beau.

She seldom complained about herself, she would only write how she was "getting better".

Now we need to find Beau a special home, hopefully with a cat blogger.

Someone who can love him while he adjusts to life without his Mom Cathy.

I believe the problem with Teresa, Cathy's sister, keeping Beau is that she has several older cats that do not get along with Beau.

Also, if you are wanting to take Beau, but concerned about vet bills, remember the CB paid for most of Beau's vet bills. We could continue to do so, no problem.

 Mom ML needs Purrs & Purrayers Today! 

Remember when Missy Blue Eyes bit me a few weeks ago? (Click here to see related posts.) 

It left a huge knot on the back of my right hand. It started to go away but has now come back. 

The entire area is red and flushed, very painful to touch. 

And it started migrating downward;

the original bite was right beneath the knuckle of the middle finger. 

Now it has moved down almost to my wrist. 

I’m having trouble moving my fingers and typing. 

Yikes, if I can’t type, what will I do?????

I’m going to the doctor today, if I can get in, and let him fix it. Am very nervous.
Update: My appointment is for 2 pm today.

I'm back! 
Had to have xrays done of the area, there is swelling about like half a golf ball. 
The swelling is all infection! Ugh.
Dr. Bob was afraid the infection had gone into the bone.
The xrays showed it has not.
It is in the tendons and nerves, it really hurts.

I'm supposed to not use it, keep it elevated and keep heating pads on it. 
He gave me a round of really strong antibiotics to see if it will respond. 
Otherwise, I'll be referred to a hand specialist for surgical cleaning.
Which does not sound like a lot of fun.
