Display Problems...

Okay, this has nothing to do with Missy Blue Eyes. "So how can it be important...", she's asking me! Alas, Missy, it is.

We have been experiencing display problems where important information about Missy appears and disappears. Missy now agrees it is a PROBLEM!

On Kat's Cat of the Day blog today, Victor Tabbycat and his Mom guided us toward a thread discussing this problem.

After reading the threads and doing additional research, made a few changes in Missy's blog, just to test. So far, the text display is fine but the pictures are no longer positioned correctly. Sigh.

If this eliminates the text problems, will go in and manually position the photos (after a few hours of reading!). Right now am just leaving it alone to check. If anyone sees the text problems, would really appreciate a post. Please don't ask what's wrong with my photos. Ha-ha.

ML - Check out Missy Snores post. Words are still disappearing there! The new post and one below seem to be fine though. Gonna look again.

Good job, Kat. I can get it to disappear if I hit refresh. That could be the pictures and text fighting for space, because I don't have the pictures in any specified position at present. Looks like they are kinda adjusting as they reload.

Hey ML, when I went to click on Missy's blog, the name moved downward, I tried to click on test site and all, and it did the same thing. Also, I don't know if it always does this, but I clicked on 'refresh', and then the names stayed in place, but the print turned red...is this just bad engineering on Blogger's part?

My friend uses firefox...he said he likes it better because it isn't used as widely as IE and so has less problems...is it hard to navigate in?

Rose, if we want to keep using the Blogger, we will probably all be forced to migrate to Firefox. Sheeee. I've been working on it, hopefully (PLEASE) this is why you are having these problems.

Gee, Mom always says I'm a trouble-maker. I was just tryin to help, an now efurryone's playin wif blog templates instead of helpin their cats to blog! Sorry, furry furiends!

The Fox browser werks a lot like the explorer, so it's easy to switch. Anyone usin Firefox will be able to read your blog, but anyone usin IE will still haf trouble until the template's fixed, but only sumtimes. See, if it broked alla time, they'd haf to admit it's them, not us.

OKAY. MOST IMPORTANT. MISSY IS ADORABLE! *grin*

The text in the test paragraph comes and goes for me. As I scroll up and down, it reappears.

Victor's right though, we should pay more attention to our furry friends. Mine probably need a blog too!

Hi Missy! The Lady finally made us a blog - YAY! She says she's still gotta add stuff, but at least we've got one!

On the first blog I had, I used this same format, and I ended up discarding it. I don't know if it is the blog format or something else, but I ran into the same type of problems you seemed to be having. Hopefully, though, everything is fixed for you now!

This is my work computer checking in...no display problems from this one. Did you change something, or is it my home computer with the problem?

My official results: home computer has disappearing and reappearing text, but work computer has no problems. At work, I upgraded recently to the Beta version of IE. I remember that before I had that, the text would disappear at work also. However, I don't advise using the Beta version if you do online banking with Wells Fargo, as they are not yet compatible.

Karen C, you are 100% correct. I just upgraded to the IE7, and it works great with the blogger. Also, Kat, I can see your Neko!!!!

Appreciate the warning about Wells Fargo online banking, good to know BEFORE the install. Thanks much.
