Thanks to Karen C., this tiny beauty was saved from the dreaded "back room" and an instant death sentence. This "vicious feline" was transported to the shelter in a metal box to protect the employees. Karen ran over, retrieved KC from her metal prison, and began cuddling her. So much for the "ferocious feral".
Deb calls her the "Charlie Brown Christmas Tree" kitty. Hopefully, KC will be traveling to Houston soon, to begin an exciting new life full of wonderful things.
UPDATE: KC will be released Friday a.m. and spend the day at Karen's house, preparing for her flight to Houston.
Thanks, Karen & Deb, for masterminding this "rescue".

Ohhh this kitty is so cute and scared. Well there is a new home waiting.
Words cannot describe the depth of emotion in Kc's eyes! Fright, hope! I loved this kitten upon first sight! Deb, ML, you've done it again. I think the two of you are going for Sainthood! I love you two ladies so much for all you do! Karen, that goes just as much for you too! Without your help and determination, well, we know what would have happened!
Hi all!
I still can't get over her coloring. I have seen torties and calicos, and I think she is a calico because of the white. But like Karen was describing, the rust color of the brown...WOW!
Bless you Mary Lynn, she is adorable and will have a wonderful life with you.
OH, what a beautiful baby girl.
Her lil face shows it all, scared, confussed, and just wanting someone to loves her.
Karen C., Deb, and ML, you guys are wonderful. Kitty hugs and kisses to you all.
Ah, she is so beautiful. And she is a lucky cat with a good forever home. Hope we will see more pictures of her a t hoe soon.
I have had to torties in my life, but never one that looked like this. So happy to here she will be going to a new home!
that should of been two torties...
ohhh, she is gorgeous, but the poor thing looks like she is going to burst out in tears any second. Don't worry baby, you have a home to go to and you will be furry loved!
Oh, pretty little K.C.!!! You're going on a Great Adventure Friday!!
Your Godmother,Karen C. will be placing you in very good hands at the airport (The Royals will ONLY fly Continental!) and you will have a safe, quiet ride to Houston, where you will meet your new foster mum, Deb and your furrever mum, ML. You won't have to be frighten or forlorn any more, sweetheart! Your in the hearts (and embraces) of some of the Best Beans on Earth!!!
Snuggles and kitykisses, and a smooch on the belly (when you're comfortable with that!)
xoxoxoxoxoxoxo!!!!
Have you ever seen anything like this cat?????
It's like when I say I'm partial to orange cats, then I say I like black cats, then I say, no, torties, then...well, you get the idea. I love 'em all.
Well, this cat has it all. There's a little bit of everything there.
Amazing.
Again, thank you Karen C.
You can see how frightened she is just by the look in her eys. Poor baby. With Karen C giving her so much love, it will carry her through the flight to more loving on the other end. KC hang in there cutie.
Oh, little girl!! The next few days are going to be even more confusing for you, but there is a big silver lining. When you get to Houston, there will be two ladies, jumping up and down, waiting for you. Your Fairy Godmother, Auntie Deb, and your new Mama will be there to give you lots of love and hugs and kisses. ALL your Aunties will be waiting to hear how your trip was. We all love you, little KC.
Hi Effuryone!
I am going to have a BLAST playing Air Traffic Controller on Saturday!! Just think - this time next week, K.C. will be IN HOUSTON!
HooooRAhhhh!!
Blogger is giving me serious indigestion today. It won't let me access comments on my sites, so I'm not even attempting to post about the events of yesterday! Kat's Cat also will not let me access the comments, although the new curser is cute-Kat, you make your site so entertaining! Someone mention Blogger's going down at 5:00p for maintenance-in what time zone?! BUMMER!! But it needs a good fix. I tried to get into Emma's blog and it came up with a page that said I was not authorized to view that page. Hmmph!
Well, I'm about to have a nice read about the digital camera!! Y'know, I don't think it's really sunk in yet...I've been isolated for so long, around people who were PAID to be around me, I forgot the senses and the responsibility, really, of having a group of loving friends who show compassion, share my sense of humor, forgive my rough spots, just being GOOD FRIENDS and feeling a part of a FAMILY...I feel unconditional love from you all, and I hope I can recall how to return that kind of love, because I know I Feel it-I hope you can, too!
Wait 'till David sees the kitten and the camera and the plethora of toys the Royal Family have the pick of (right now, the paws-down favorite are the feather wands!)
I spent over an hour playing with them last night, and that side-splitting-tears-in-my-eyes laughter I used to be known for is gradually making a comeback...I feel like I'm using muscles that have laid dormant for close to 6 years. yeah, that long! Kitty Therapy Rules!!
Debra, I don't know what else to say-thank you seems inadequate. I think you know I LOVE YOU! I swear, when we talk on the phone, I feel like we went to school together! I have a lot to learn from you. From all of you!
Hope to be able to get on a few sites before Blogger takes it all down...I think of and send prayers up for all of you, goes without saying...
chat soon!
The expression on this kitty's face is so heartbreaking.Thank god for people like Karen C. and Deb their true angels. What a lucky kitty :)
