KC: Day 4

KC is sleeping on my shoulder while I type. She spent last night sleeping on Charley and then me.

It is flooding outside. When If it stops raining, will take KC to vet: she can't breathe thru her nose and gasps. It's normal for a shelter kitty and she is taking antibiotic. And, oh, is she gaining weight. Bet her little fat belly weighs a pound by itself. In the other photo, KC has discovered the joys of kitty grass. I was getting her RX ready, so she was up on the kitchen counter where I keep Missy's grass.

K.C. looks so trusting that her Momma is going to take care of her little head cold...I still get the chils when I think of that photo taken in that horrid cage, those pleading, defeated eyes...
SHE KNOWS she is in a safe place now!

You've done wonders, ML!!

Rose, that is the perfect description: pleading and defeated. Charley is worried she still looks sad, but in a few days that will gradually change.

Yeah, we've done wonders with her, it was a tough job, but someone had to do it...hee-hee.

She just came up and JUMPED in my lap to get on my shoulder to sleep. No more typing now.

Amen to that, Rose. I love it that she is an "equal opportunity snuggler." Most cats have "their person"-look at Karen's mob. Stay safe, ML, be careful in the high water.

Rose, I'm glad to see that you are still among the living. How are you feeling(yes, crappy, I know)-I hope you can take it easy for a few days.

I hope everything is ok with that bundle of cuteness. And the rain. Hope that stops soon.

She is just too cute! I hope she gets over the wheezing real soon. I am so happy to see that after her miserable start in life, she is going to be happy in a loving home!

Yes, I think she is already figuring out she has got a couple of suckers here.

Going to attempt to take her in to Dr. Smith tomorrow and get her weighed, and have her stuffed nosey checked. She's been taking her antibiotic two times a day.

Well, Karen C, if you hadn't, I would not have her here now, would I? So am I glad you did whatever it took to get this little baby to us.

I put Bear some supper out, the homemade chicken soup w/egg noodles. Peanut (nickname for KC to emphasize how tiny she is) PUSHED Bear aside and munched unashamedly. Dr. Smith said her eating that kind of people food is fine. Now she's going potty. Such a good little KC.

Someone asked me today how she got her name and I said she was named for an angel!

KC, just ignore Oscar and Simon! They should not have told you that! Your vet is going to do all that she can to make you all better. We love you little princess peanut!

Poor thing! It's no fun having a cold! I remember when Boca came to us(to be fostered) and he was so stopped up and had to breathe thru his nose! Terrible! But after a couple days on his antibiotic, it cleared right up! Looks like KC is thoroughly enjoying Missy's kitty grass! :)
