8/29 - for Trixie

Ceremony to Honor Trixie's Life
Hosted by The Calico Girls
August 29, 2006 -- 9 pm Eastern Time

I found this poem the night before Trixie died.
It seems appropriate for her.
Rest well, little dancer. --ML

GOD'S GARDEN

God looked around his garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering; he knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would not get well on this earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace be thine".
It breaks my heart to lose you, but you haven't gone alone.
For part of me went with you, the day God called you home.

We set up an alternate place for the ceremony if Blogger is acting up and we can't get to the Calico Girls' blog. We'll be at An Alternate Cat Blogosphere if Blogger is being mean. We're determined to Honor Trixie and Celebrate her life!!!

It has been bad all day long, can't get into half of the blogs and trouble leaving comments.
