Tuesday, 8/15

Our beautiful pillow from Linda arrived today. KC loves it so much. Linda cleverly fashioned the cat portion out of beautiful KC-colored floral, very creative. You can't tell from the photo, but the button eyes are the exact pale sea-green as KC's eyes. Also, it is embrodiered with KC's name and date of birth (6/26/06).

Received the Squillions tee shirt today, it is great. Ordered the "economy" style, because I don't like thick, heavy tees. It's just light enough, but not flimsy and the imprint isn't thick and scratchy. Even has the Original Squillion names on it.

Our GWSC (Green Wall Shelter Cat), Theo hisself is currently enroute. Was relieved to hear that GWSCs can hold their breath for days, if needed, since they are traveling securely protected in plastic wrappers. We'll celebrate Theo's arrival, for sure. And also, when we get Missy's Secret Paw. Lots to look forward to. KC said she's gonna go rest up...!

Hey, where is Missy. KC has taken over. That's O.K. if Missy doesn't mind. Also, I thought KC was Charley's cat. What happened ML, you taking over?? Or is it KC's idea? Doesn't really make any difference, both Missy and KC are getting all the love they need. KC is cute and looks like he is going into the lanky stage of growth. The pillow is so cute. KC has his own pillow now.

Anyhow, no Patches isn't new. She is as old as Casper and Gizmo, and has been around just as long. It's just that she likes to be in the background, so I thought it was time to bring her out. She is a sweetie. Sometimes she can drive you nuts with her meowing but she is being heard.

Heh-heh-heh, guess KC & I are taking over [evil laugh....].
I don't know about the Missy-KC thing. Am really confused.

Missy will come into the room with us all in the evenings. Otherwise, she picks a "hiding place". If KC and I are in the back room, Missy may come in with Charley instead of hiding.

Everything that happens around here is the cats ideas. We humans have no input whatsoever. KC has been sticking to me like kitty glue. Probably just a phase.

I so love your KC pillow. I'm seriously wanting one of my own! May have to look into that! Wonder if she could do a woofie as well?

What a neat pillow! She is very talented, not like our mom who hasn't a creative bone in her body!

Just want everyone to know, nobody in this house is capable of producing anything like that pillow. It was lovingly crafted by Linda. I just sent her photos of pets and she has made some beautiful pillows for us. Her prices are remarkable, too.

Everyone probably knows how little KC was rescued by Karen Chavez at the shelter. Karen took one look at the tiny little orphaned kitten and promised to find her a forever home. So we named her KC in honor of Karen, using her initials.

Later we were trying to establish her date of birth. Between Karen's first visits with KC, the vet's estimation of actual age, etc. we came up with 6/26. It just happened to coincide with the birthday of Karen's grandmother, a beautiful lady (like Karen) and shared and passed on a love of animals.

Karen, if I left anything out, let me know.
