Wow, thanks Karen C. Just dumb luck... and a gorgeous kitten.
They delivered my replacement keyboard today. KC was fascinated with the cardboard box and packing. She has been batting the packing around all afternoon. And she loves the box. She has not left it since it arrived. She went to sleep in it earlier. She has moved most of her toys inside. Just the cutest thing.
It's about 1:30 a.m. our time, and Missy has come to check on the box. She tries to go inside, and KC pops up and swats. Then they chase around the box. Up over and across my desk, back down to the box. Who needs television! I hardly ever watch anymore with these two playing.
Oh, Wow ML! It's been 7 weeks already? She's grown so confident and she's just a beautiful feline! I love the middle picture, too! I call the styrofoam peanuts "ghost poop"...I think it's from "Ghost Busters" or somewhere, but boxes, the BEST! KC plays jack-in-the-box with Missy, huh?! I still haven't gotten rid of the box that the Royal Play House came in, because that's PART of it in their minds! Emily likes to put the bitey on the ghost poop. I have a box under my 'puter table right now that has some in it, and SHE KNOWS! She drags the box in the middle of the room, and she works on a hole she's started to shred on the corner to get to it... yesterday, I was showing a classmate pics of the Royals, and she mentioned a site to post pictures too..haven't checked it out yet, but it would be fun to see the "U.F.O" picture of KC on the site...she said it was "pictures.com"... Yeah, watching cats play is a lot more fun than TV!
How adorable! ML, you need to put up a video of them playing!! It's so easy thru YouTube. I tried thru Google and have not been able to get the video to show up and work on my blog, but I quickly go to YouTube, so I haven't played w/Google that much. We want to see them playing! And I agree, your pictures are brilliant! You should submit the middle one to TDK or CuteOverload!
o, fanks Boni, i feel like that's my purrrr-pus in life, to inspire. fur more ins-purrrr-ation, check out Grr's artwork. i wanna do sum arts for my mommie ml.
KC what a sweetheart you are. You won't be a kitten no longer soon, you will be a kitten cat. You sure do look like you are having fun with that packaging material. Love the look in the second pic. So Intense on that piece falling in the air.
Mary Lynn, I have the sunset picture that I posted today on my desk top right now. I took that picture in Michigan when we were visiting our son in 2002. The rose I posted last week is one in our backyard that I took after a rain. And the other sunset I took out on the rangeland going toward town one evening. The only one I didn't take is the sunbeams coming through the trees when I first started posting pictures with scripture. Sure wish I did though it's a beautiful picture. Thank you for your comment.
Hey there, Victor, good point. I watched closely, they definitely are not interested in these as food. Not even to nibble on. They love to run and slide into a pile of them. Even the 16.5 year old poodle, Bear!
However, I don't leave 'em out, just to be safe. They can play with them while we're supervising (i.e., enjoying watching them -- not much tv around here!).
But you made a very good point, because I have heard some cats (and maybe woofies, as well?) would try to eat these and could choke.
I am so paranoid I removed the lids on those Sterilite storage tubs, so afraid a kitty would get inside and the lid would somehow seal and they would suffocate.
We humans have to be so careful since it is our job to protect our little precious fur babies.

The last shot was taken when KC slid down in the foam peanuts. You can see one of her front paws buckling under her. We had so much fun playing.
I'm going to learn how to do the video this weekend, for sure. I've only had this camera two, three years! No hurry.
Oh KC, that looks like fun! Mom has a box of those things. I'm going to go get in it now. You inspired me!
