KC is 5 Months Old Today...Updated

KC is still very sick.
She may be able to come home late Monday or Tuesday. Maybe!
She's a little fighter.
Rosie (who else) said she's a "tough a*s tortie".
This was the only other photo we took yesterday.
It doesn't look much like KC.
My heart is broken, I miss her so much.
But I know she is getting the best care available and then some!
Thanks to everyone for your prayers and support.

The Taylor CatSSSSS and Deb have dedicated their blog to the wonderful Dr. Kathleen Smith.

We are in the process of updating Seventh Heaven, the cat adoption blog. It will also be dedicated to Dr. Smith. It was originally started because there were seven kittens at the Houston Cat Hospital who needed homes.

Grr, Midnight & Cocoa are excited because the gray tabby from the Rhode Island Kitties (Danielle) flies to his new home in Michigan today! He's going to live with Morgen, "Not The Mama" from Purrchance to Dream. Lucky kitty.

There was a shortage of funds and Danielle's children, Mary Claire and Benjamin, paid for most of the plane ticket out of their savings! Danielle raised some wonderful kids, didn't she.

I understand the money ran out because there was an extra stray at Danielle's, missed in the original count, that added to the expenses. In fact, he was a "special needs" cat with extra vet bills. Come on, let's show Danielle's kids us grownups can get a few donations going for the cats -- and put the money back in their piggy banks. Go to Grr, Midnight & Cocoa's blog for info on making a donation.

Finally, it's The 140th Carnival of the Cats hosted at Scribblings today. See you there!

my mommy knows how tuff it is to have a sick poodin. Autumn was sick and had to have surgery and mommy was beside herself. Make sure KC's mommy gets lots of rest before KC comes home. Once KC comes home she will need lots of attention day and night, but it will be worth it. Autumn, Millie and countless other poodins are proof that love heals darn near everything.

In honor of KC I am going to post (a little early) a picture for Tough A*s Tortie Tuesday.

O.K. KC you have been tagged as a tough a*s tortie go and show all you are going to make it. Lots of prayers are going up for you and with them and a great vet you will make it. I agree, Moms needs rest as there will be a lot to do when you come home. Even if you have to stay longer than anticipated I think it would be wise so Doc Smith can do her best in making you well. I know Mom and Dad miss you a whole lot, but better safe than sorry. We sure would hate to see you have to go back. Casper, Patches, Gizmo and Cleo are all sending you purrs, meows and prayers. Love you sweet girl.

Oh ML: I know how much you are missing your baby. She will be doing much better tomorrow...just wait and see. I have complete faith in Dr. Smith and kc's "tough tortie-ness"! You rest up cause that baby is going to be ready for her mommy and daddy! Love and prayers from all the Taylor CatSSSSS and all the Taylor's!

p.s. I miss my furry babies and my youngest human baby...but right now my oldest baby needs me. Tatum is feeling a little under-the-weather. She is curled up on her dorm room bed with her stuffed bear. I'm staying with her until she is feeling better. Check out the Taylor CatSSSSS for more info.

Kisses, purrs, prayers to all the Sherwoods!

GO KC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been purring hard all weekend for her, while my OTW was gone and left the computer off. I visited a couple times too, but KC was asleep, and I thought that was best, so I didn't disturb her.

I was very worried about her, because I got really sick right after I had my boy-bits taken out, and and I always worry even though I know most cats are fine after their operations.

Would you pleace tell KC when you visit her, that I said she is the bravestest, toughest kitty. And she was born to be a valkyrie-cat!

Loup-Garou, Zorro and Bean Sidhe send their fondest greetings and most fierce purrayers to KC.
(I had to translate for them, what they actually said was "Meow", "MOW" and "Miee-iee-iee-e-iew purr".)

May your Deity of Choice keep and heal your little furry friend.
