Help!

There is a beautiful young Momma Tortie and her three gorgeous babies on our porch. The Momma seems to have been a "discard", as she is very domesticated. She has terrific markings and very long hair. Momma Tortie's kittens come in a nice selection of colors: basic black with a bit of white, a yellow stripey and the soft grey longer hair. All come attired in tuxedos.

I would foster her and the kits, but we are in assisted living and have our two-pet quota with KC and Missy.

They are on my porch where the temperature in the direct SE sun is 97 degrees F. I put a shade up over the chairs and am freezing plastic bags of ice for them. They have food and water. I would like to find foster home or no-kill shelter in the Houston-Katy-Sugarland area. Any ideas or help would be most appreciated.

ML: Sorry I haven't written or called before now. I haven't had a voice at all today. Bad virus. I'll be calling you tomorrow to see if we can come up with a plan for these beautiful kitties. I would foster them in a minute if I were still in Houston. So, when you hear the "scratchy" voice, you will know it is me! Going to go plot and plan. We have to get these kitties adopted!

Poor babies. That's how I started out, so I know how scary that can be. Have you tried googling for rescue groups in your area? We know a bunch here, but that's not very helpful for you. :-(

If Deb or anyone comes up with an idea which involves transporting the kitties to a foster or forever home, please let me know. I'd contribute in a minute to the costs.

Grace, Audace, and Ruse are such little treasures to me -- and I have them as a result of such wonderful people as Deb and ML. So just let me know.

I have 51 cats and can't add anymore to mine, but will send this to my daughter. She might know someone who would like to take in these kitties or at least one of them. She lives between Houston and Galveston.

What a pretty little family. I still have my kittens, there are so many needing homes. It's overwhelming isn't it? Sending purrs and prayers.

She's a pretty tortie and her kittens look cute too.

Is she as sassy as Queen Munchkin likes to be some times?
