You are such a great foster mom, ML, and I know this is not news to you. I just want to echo others who have said what a terrific job you have done in raising all those little jewels and taking care of their mommies, too. They will have good homes and fun lives.
Purrs and pats to Missy and KC, too, and hugs to you and Charley.
I thought Smokey and Sol were staying forever, too, but Charley said they get in the way, so they are gone. I am heartbroken because KC and Missy Blue Eyes are hubby's cats. Now I have no cat(s). At least I have the gorgeous graphic from Ann to remember them by. I miss them and they were purr-fect for me. Not all eleven cats, certainly, but either Sol or Smokey or both, would have been perfect, everything I ever wanted. A little mancat. They just liked to sit by me at the computer, sleep and watch TV by me, get in my lap and purr while I read... you get the picture. And Sol was even an honorary tuxie-in-training in the Tuxedo Gang! Oooops, here I go, feeling sorry for myself. Sorry. I have responsibilities to take care of Charley (and be his care-giver since he can't take care of himself) and his cats, since they help his blood pressure. That's just life as an adult. They will get grrreat homes and someone will be very lucky to get them.
Zoolatry is amazing. If you don't know, Ann is offering custom graphics of your cats, pets, beans, babies, just whatever to benefit Churchill and the Meezers (minimum $10 donation) on this blog, Portraits by Zoolatry. There are links to the Meezer's Paypal and Church's Paypal. I'm going to have a Memorial Graphic made for my sweet Bear.
They will find wonderful homes!! Will their cards have the address of the Cat Blogosphere on it so the new owners have an easy start with their blogging??? Hahahahahah - just an idea!
They called me about Momma Tortie today. Apparently she has gone wild. They can't touch her. I explained her past situation and the fact that even though she was loving with me, there were times she just turned and bit, hard. Then she'd go right back to purring. It didn't happen very often, but it's the type of thing you remember. So they are going to send her to a cat refuge. It's a guy that owns a big two story house out in the country on a big fenced piece of land. The cats have the run of the house, and SPECIAL cats, like Momma Tortie, also have limited outside time to run and hunt and climb. That should be like heaven for her.
We are going to miss the mites and the baby torties. We know how much harder it is for you. We are also glad that Missy is doing so much better. We will be keeping you in our purrs.
You know more about your situation than we do, but Sol & Smokey might not have been so much in the way without the rest of the Full House.
If they're still available in a few weeks, it might be worth a shot bringing them back home for a test run. Whether or not you want to put S & S (and yourself) through something like this, you would have to decide.
It just strike us as a bit unfair that you had to get rid of all 'your' cats, while Charlie got to keep all of 'his' cats.
