Ya know, I've seen MANY kittens and cats pass through the shelter on their way to their new furrever homes and very, very few would ever to think to bite someone without a reason. I have only been bitten once in over two years and it was pretty much my fault.
I think Faith is the picture of innocence! Srsly! LOL
seriously, big grown up people afraid of a 1 pound kitten? ::SIGH:: - well, we remember somefing about KC being "wild" too when she was teeny tiny. It must be a tough a** tortie thing!!
I cannot tell a lie (after all, I was George Washington a week or so ago...), but I too, helped myself to a couple human bites when I was a baby kit. I just had to test them out to be surely they were really good (and they were, and are)... so I am sure Faith was just doing a little taste-test to check you out.
We figure it was just a scam Faith pulled to get back here. She is the cuddliest, purriest, sweetest little thing ever. The last kitten you would expect to bite anyone. And the shelter people were all so loving and sweet, I don't believe any of them provoked her. Truth is, they were getting her out to be adopted when she bit. Remember the notorious yellow-dot KC, who terrorized the LA Shelter until Karen C. grabbed her. Personally, I think KC coached Faith.
I found this info on the web. Maybe we should share it with the shelter:
"Teething kittens need to bite. Just like infants, kittens go through the teething process. However, they go through it much sooner and their baby teeth are replaced by adult teeth. Most kittens start teething between three and six months. Teething helps to relieve the pressure and discomfort associated with the growth of new larger teeth."
Would love to have heard the conversation between you and the shelter people when you went to pick her up. Have they been in contact since to find out whether or not you have been savaged yet?
hehheh. That face is TOO innocent. I know all about torties from Cousin Mollie and I love 'em anyway! Maybe it's because they have no inhibitions about saying what's on their mind... Faith is a sweetie and we're glad Missy Blue Eyes is OK.
Perhaps Faith has an evil alter ego. There is no way that sweet face is dangerous. If not an evil alter, she must've been scared or pushed by a bean who didn't pay attention to her warning signs so she felt she had to bite. Cats and kittens don't bite without reason.
Oh, Faith honey, you are such a cutie pa-tootie, I think you were only putting the bitey on 'cuz KC coached you that's how to get what you want ~ back home with Mommy ML!!! You are a sly little devil, and I just LOVE ya for it!!!
Okay, kitties don't bite usually unless they feel they're threatened. Something doesn't seem right here... This picture is adorable, I luv all the markings on her fur. I know you'll give her lots of TLC!
There is just not enough pictures of you Missy. I love to see your blue eyes. I am just so thankful that your eye healed. Couldn't stand it if you were hurting.
Pee Ess: I have gived you an Inspired Blog Award for all the hard work you have done with the kittens and with Ms. Faith and Missy and all.
I also supposed to tell you we are having dental week at House Panthers and that since Miss Faith is having some tooth problems, you might find the information useful.
How could anyone think to put such a tag on that little cutie!! Thank you for participating in this weeks Bad Kitty Cat Festival of Chaos #34. Your Tuxie Furiends, Samantha, Chandra and the Cats at the TGH

You wonder what they were doing to her that she felt the need to put the bitey on someone? Not being held properly or ???

Who could think that cute face could put on the bitey!
We don't believe it, not for a minute.......look at that face!! Someone was at fault, and it wasn't Faith!!!
Is she biting now that she is back at home or not?
Faith, you are so adorable. We wonder what happened at the shelter to make you bite when you had never bitten before.

I likes to bite, too. It's fun.
Oh surely not. Such a sweet little innocent face.
We are glad Missy's eye is looking so much better.
What a beauty! She just was telling them she wanted to go home. It was really smart of her.

ML: I agree with you. I think KC coached Faith about how to get back to you! Can't really blame her! Such a funny label! I love it!
The Tough *ss Torties Association now has a blog!

It is a work in progress, but any Torties are welcome!

We're sure Faith would not put the bitey on anyone unless they deserved it. We want to hear Faith's side of da story.
Don't baby kitties just naturally bit and scratch - playing? I know *I did!
What a beautiful face she has!

Oh, except fanks for joining the Carnival of the Cats this week!
Purrrrrrs,
Mini (you're my 54th treat, Faith! woo!)
Well, I'm still with the theory KC coached little Faith. When they curl up together, you cannot tell which is which.
You could have heard a pin drop in the shelter when I stuck my hand in Faith's cage.... and she mewed and started licking my hand. Hee hee.
(had to delete the comment above, if I could just spell...)
Heh heh. Faith is furry smart.

She was saying 'MOMMY! YOU CAME BACK FOR ME! THANK YOU THANK YOU! HERE ARE SOME HAPPY KISSES!"
There is just not enough pictures of you Missy. I love to see your blue eyes. I am just so thankful that your eye healed. Couldn't stand it if you were hurting.

Never again, we bet!
You are a doll!
IF there were bites...they had to be love bites!
I definitely think she wanted to live with you, ML, and that was the best way she could think of to get back you.
Good job, Faith!!
Love,
Tazo
Muahahahahahaha! You are an authentic gatorrista. I hope that you join to my feline world domination!
