Hi, I'm giving KC a bit of a rest, she spent all day yesterday chanting,"take a hike, ike".
Ike is not getting as strong as was expected.
So I'm celebrating right now and chillaxing.
Thank you for all your purrs and purrayers.Keep them coming tomorrow night for us and for all those in Ike's path.

YEAH! I was so worried Ike was falling in love with that little torti cat and was coming to meet her! I am glad she told him off and he is going to miss you all!
Ike made some rain come down here just as Bob was clocking out from work. He rides a bicycle so he had to sit at work and wait for the rain to die down before he could come home.

We are already getting rain and some mild wind from Ike.
The cats don't get freaked by the hurricanes at all. Bubbles just get cranky because he can't go outside.

At the moment, we're pleased that Ike hasn't become nearly as nasty as they first predicted. It looks like Ike will be a rainmaker and wind maker, but not a catastrophic destroyer. We'll keep purring. Stay safe.
Not to bore anyone with my dorkiness, but I've always been fascinated by weather. I've seen a lot of storms, and I have a bad feeling about this one. It's relatively week, but it is one of the physically largest storms EVER, even larger than Katrina. The storm surge is going to be absolutely terrible, so I hope you guys aren't close enough to have to worry about flooding.
