Too-Much-To-Do Toosday

We're back!
While the humans deal with paperwork, clean up and FEMA,
the kitties have something much more interesting to do!
Look what wandered up on the window.
(Such a pretty little lizard, I'm glad the window was closed!)

Missy Blue Eyes is resting from all the excitement...
no, not the hurricane, but the post Sam I Am left for her yesterday!
She only fainted two times!!!!

Thanks to everyone for the purrs and purrayers.
Ike wasn't quite as bad as Alicia, but it was an experience.
7 days without electricity and 9 days without water was not fun,
but so many others had it much, much worse.
We are grateful no one around us was hurt or injured.

And all six kitties were such great little troopers.
When the winds threatened to break the lock and blow the front door open, Sol, Smokey and BJ stood in front of it and growled.

That lizard sure is lucky those brave kitties couldn't get at him. Growling at the hurricane? We're impressed! We probably would've been in the closet or under the bed...'cept fur Riley. She's not even scared of the ::shudder:: vacuum.

i'm so glad you are all back and safe. Sol, Smokey & BJ, you are much braver than me. i did not like the winds from Ike that reached Ohio last Sunday. i hid under the coffee table!

the winds were so strong they caused a blackout in 90% of the Greater Cincinnati area for days and days! we posted about it on Tues. Sept 16

Oh, what big brave kitties you have -- and what a darling li'l lizard!

My "brave" three just followed me around the night of the 12th until I finally went to sleep in the guest room. (No big windows in there!) They all were with me when I turned out the light about 11 pm, and I know they came and went at different times, before and after the power went out. They didn't seem too concerned unless there was a really unusual or unusually loud noise!

Such brave kitties!!

I'm so glad live is returning to normal, and I sure hope none of us has to go through that again -- ever -- or at least for a long time. My heart just breaks for PJ. Have you checked on her blog lately?
