Project 2996

I am honoring Madelaine "Amy" Sweeney, a flight attendant aboard American Airlines Flight 11 on September 11, 2001. Normally, she would have been off duty, but had agreed to work an extra shift to help a sick friend. She and all passengers and crew were killed when the plane was slammed into the North Tower of the Trade Center.
Amy died relaying the last information from Flight 11 to American Flight Services Office in Boston via an air phone:
...Sweeney reported to Woodward, “Something is wrong. We are in a rapid descent . . . we are all over the place.” Woodward asked Sweeney to look out the window to see if she could determine where they were. Sweeney responded: “We are flying low.We are flying very, very low. We are flying way too low.” Seconds later she said, “Oh my God we are way too low.” The phone call ended.

Amy was survived by her husband, Michael, a police officer, and two children.

What is Project 2996?
Project 2,996 is a tribute to the victims of 9/11.
On September 11, 2006, more than 3,000 bloggers joined together to remember the victims of 9/11. Each year we will honor them by remembering their lives, and not by remembering their murderers.

This was set on blogger to publish tomorrow, Friday, September 11th at 12:01 am.
And yet it published at 7 pm the evening of the 10th.
Don't know why it published early, but here it is. My tribute for the heroes of September 11, 2001.
