( Actually, Smokey is stockpiling coins under the blanket, not the mattress... and of course, being the worry wart I am, have taken all the coins away and will really watch him getting in my purse from now on... I'm worried he could swallow them. ~Mom ML )

Isn't that a hoot, though, that Smokey is a coin collector! If he's stashing them away, it doesn't seem as if he's interested in eating them (wouldn't taste very good).
And we're purring for Sassy and her sisters that everyone's OK.

That is interesting that he likes the coins - I am very curious what he was going to do with them. (but we do think it is good to take them away - at least the small ones). My cats have tried to chew on dollar bills but never showed an interest in coins.
I think QVC is selling fresh catnip!
Smokey you sure do look good on that green blanket. Maybe your Mom should get you a piggy bank so you don't have to put your stash under the blanket.

I would worry, too, but I wonder what he is saving for.
I love the way the blanket reflects on Smokey's shiny fur and gives him a green tinge. I would take the coins away, too, for fear of them being swallowed. A piggy bank sounds like a good idea.
