Here is Smokey's partner-in-crime,the Brave and Beautiful Faith Boomerang.
Once Smokey had alerted me and
chased the ginormous spider into the hall,
Faith positioned herself between the spider and me.
It was a bit frustrating, but she was determined to kill it.
Fortunately, I outmaneuvered the floofy gal and squished the spider with a shoe.
Charley went to the doctor yesterday for blood work and to check his foot.
The test results should be back later today.
The doctor does not think he has gout, although she ran tests for it.
She also could not find anything wrong with his foot.
The next time it swells and hurts, he will go have an xray.

Poor Faith didn't get to kill the spider herself, the shoe got in the way. Doggone my Mom does the same thing and won't let us play with the spiders. You were a brave girl inspite of not being able to kill it. Sure hope Dad Charley's tests come back O.K.

Gosh I didn't read below this post. Goodness that sounded like a huge spider. They are really scary. Boy, I guess you Faith and Smokey are really heros guarding your Mom. So glad you all got rid of it.

A spider? Mom has just gone running down the hall screaming "Eeeeeek!"
Good job Faith! Protecting your Mommy! Your brothers have taught you well! Mommy says that she would have squished it with a shoe too.....but....had Tatum or Sloane been home....she would have had to pick up the spider...ever so gently...with toilet tissue and take it outside alive. They won't let her kill the insects. ...of couse THEY won't pick them up either! :)

We have got behind with visiting our friends the last few days. We are sorry about Charley's foot and hope he gets good test results. Faith Boo was very brave. We have to save our mum from spiders.
