Friday Was A Bad Day

Friday was a really bad day. One of the worst days I can recall in a long, long time.
I spent most of the day on emergency phone calls.
Daddy Charley was very, very ill. We finally figured out he had taken two different types of diabetes medications and overdosed, resulting in dangerously low blood sugar.
During this fiasco, KC ate a 12" piece of elasticized string. So far no bad effects from that.
My neighbor, Margaret, will have major-major surgery Monday, a follow-up to the Whipple procedure that saved her life from pancreatic cancer.
Plus, our email account (sbcglobal) was on and off, mostly off, all day.
And what did get through, Microsoft Vista promptly corrupted.
(So if you sent an email to me (mlgigg AT sbcglobal DOT net) and haven't gotten a reply, send it again, please.)
Of course, during all of this, my reaction -- a major migraine.
Things today are calmer, but we could sure use some good purrs.

Update
First of all, thank you for all the purrs and comments.
They have helped so much.
Second, thanks to Peggy & The Cats, we got a most fantasic gift in the mail. More on that in a later post, but I'll just say KC & Faith Boomerang love it.
And last, I am very thankful for migraine medication!

Tomorrow we will participate in PURRS4HERMAN started by Brian.
More info on the Cat Blogosphere.
Also, a graphic by KC for everyone to use.

Whew! We bet you're glad THAT day is over! Our Daddy has diabetes too, and it's a booger! He wasn't getting enough of one drug...his sugar was OK but he was nauseated all the time. Hr has to watch himself like a hawk.
Our Mommy has migraines; even with Imitrex they're No Fun.
At least the elastic was tasty! KC, we hope you don't make any "pearls onna string"!

OK- you have officially used up all your bad days for a long, long time. An elastic string disappeared around here a week ago, Mom suspects Jeannie....
Your horoscope says you will have a nice surprise soon :)

Oh, we're so sorry! What an awful day, indeed. Lots of purrs and healing Light for Daddy Charley, for KC (we hope the string, er, passes okay!), for Margaret and for you.

Oh, BAD day! Lots of warms purrs being sent your way. Binga would do the same thing as KC if she could get her paws on some string like that. It's hard keeping strings away from her (and yummy rubber bands away from me!). I hope it gets through with no problems. nd that all the humans feel lots better!

That was a bad day! Mixing up, getting too much or to little diabetes meds is not good. Dad has his separated by day and fills it every Sunday evening.

We are sending purrs for Charley, you, Margaret and KC. We hope Saturday is better and Sunday is an easy day!

Oh No. Bad Friday's are not allowed!! That is if they can be prevented. So Sorry to hear all the bad things going on at your place. Although it was a good thing to find out what was wrong with Daddy Charley, it can be fixed now. Purrs and prayers for Dad Charley's full recovery. Also purrs and prayers for Margaret for her full recovery too! KC, as Mo puts it hope your situation will "pass" for a full recovery too. Mom ML, purrs and prayers for your hurting head. Hope you are much better now.

Love,
