Now that does not look like a face that terrorized a whole shelter. :)
Jan, I still remember the day we ran back to the shelter to retrieve her. The entire staff stood, silently watching while I alone went up to the cage to get her out.
You could have heard a pin drop as I reached in and grasped her. I think they fully expected her to gnaw my arms off right on the spot.
Instead, she jumped into my arms, snugged her little face up under my hair and hid.
Of course, there were a couple of employees with bandaged hands that had tried to pick her up earlier, to show her to prospective adoptive families.

ML, just reading your comment to Jan--it *is* hard to picture that adorable ball of floof as being that challenging, but then, there's the tortitude. And I know what my Annie is like (even though she's not a tortie). LOL. So it's true that appearances can be deceiving!
