He's been hanging around the past few weeks.
Tonight he is the bathroom, safe and sound.
Monday he will go to the vet to be checked out.
Midnight Update:
I'm going to name him "Stinky".
He pooped all over the counter.
He has gas. Lethal gas.
He is covered with itchy spots.
He's got huge paws and I think he is declawed.
I put him on dry food with lysine sprinkles and lots of water.
He wants to push up against me and snuggle.
And he has been purring!
Put one of my outfits in a box for him to sleep on.
I don't really know if we will keep him or find him a home, but he needs to see a vet, be tested and cleaned up.
Hopefully he is well except for having lived outdoors for a few weeks.
Here is a 3 a.m. photo of Mr. Stinky.
He just ate a few Temptations!
8 a.m. Update:
He used the litterbox!!!
He's eaten a huge bowl of kitten chow with lysine sprinkles.
He RAN up to me when I opened the door!
He doesn't smell quite so bad... either I'm getting used to it or he's getting better.
I hadn't thought about the microchip... hopefully he is and can be returned to his home.
Can't imagine someone dumping a clawless cat.

What a precious baby! Hope he checks out OK.
Awwwwwww!!!!! What a cutie!!! Hope all is well with him!!
Your Austin furiends,
Another one??? Wasn't it just a few years ago that you had 1 cat, and that was plenty.
I'm not scolding, especially since there is a pretty tiger with a looong tail in my dining room. She went to see Auntie Dr. Cathy this afternoon, and was a perfect lady. I should get the results of the bloodwork tomorrow.
So far, Smokey is VERY interested and talks to her through the door. Meepsie is NOT AMUSED! This will be interesting.
Once he gets cleaned up and has a few good meals, he is going to be an amazing looking guy!
Does this mean the Sherwood Bunch is growing?...He's just adorable and we hope his checkup turns out well...So good of you to take care of him...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
Awww... what a cutie... Hoping all is alright tomorrow at the vet!
Poor little muffin, I hope he's ok.
The poor thing ! I can't understand that vets are declawing cats ! In Belgium it is not allowed ! and no vet would do it unless it's a question of life or death, but certainly not for furniture !!
I can tell that the "All cats welcome here" sign is still in front of your house. He is a cute fellow. I hope that his vet report turns out well.
Oh, look at this poor boy. :-(
We're SO glad you've taken him in, will have him checked out and treated. Is he already neutered? If he's declawed, I would guess yes. Poor baby for being declawed too.
No wonder he's gassy, heaven knows what kind of garbage he's been living on while outside. Guess he'll need to be dewormed too.
Maybe he's microchipped and has a good home already, simply somehow got out and got lost? Or perhaps the people moved with him and he escaped from the new home and he made his way back to home territory? Anything is possible. There could be someone desperate to have him back....or not, of course.
Good luck, keep us posted!
Hi Mr. Stinky. You are very handsome and we are glad the Sherwood Bunch found you and brought you in. Hope you check out all right at the vets and find a wonderful home. Maybe those Sherwoods will keep you if you play your cards right.
Have a great Sunday.
He is adorable, we love him. Thanks for helping him.
We think Scruffy might be a better name. (He could'nt help pooping on the counter ~ he was prolly scairt so he shud be forgiven and not called stinky)
Milo and Alfie xx
Mr Stinky is adorable! We're glad he's safe and sound and we hope his V-E-T visit goes well.
Sniffie and the Florida Furkids
I think that Mr. Stinky is thankful for the help, maybe he won't be stinky for long and you can call him Mr. Handsome!
Thank you for taking this boy in. We hope there is nothing major wrong with Mr Stinky when he has his vet visit. We aren't used to declawing here but if he has been declawed and left out on the street he can't even protect himself. So heartless.
We'll try to think of some un-stinky names for him!!
luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Lucky for Mr. Stinky to have found you! You are even more of a cat magnet than me! I can't tell you how depressed the whole "stray cat situation" makes me. I hope he checks out OK.
OH MY CAT!!! Auntie ML, you did it! You got the kitty inside! Mommy thinks he is just adorable. He won't be stinky for long. Just you wait. He will be wearing a beautiful tuxedo! We think that he should be 007, since he is wearing a tux and is the seventh Sherwood kitty!!! :)
CALL MOMMY!
Aw, how nice of you to take Mr. Stinky in! We hope he checks out okay at the vet and he can find a furever home either with you or somebody else.
What a handsome tuxie lad! He looks like a big cat too. We think he should have a nice new name to reflect his good looks. Poor lad out on the street and declawed. We really wish declawing was banned over there. Sadly people do dump declawed cats, but it would be wonderful if he had a microchip AND people who were happy he had been found and could go back home.
Thank you for taking him in and getting him sorted out.
Whicky Wuudler
he is a handsome mancat w/ a long tail. once he is cleaned up the girl cats will be knocking down the door to woo him.
oooh, Mister Stinky is gonna clean up nicely. We can tell!
We know he'll end up in a good home no matter what, so we are all happy tails for him.
We think he'll be less stinky on good fudz and that "Double-O-Seven" is a great name! Or Bond, James Bond.
Please stop by, we have something for you.
He is so handsome. Thanks for looking after your sweet, scruffy visitor.
Things happen. If firemen or paramedics come to a home, a cat can panic and run away. Etc.
Hope you will not keep calling him Stinky! What a horrible name to live down to. Hope he tests out okay.
Please stop by, we have something for you.
A little mancat lost. Glad he "found" you all.
Careful calling him Mr. Stinky. Names have a way of sticking. Maybe Mr. Slinky? Best of luck at the vet.
He is a sweetie! We hope his family is found and they are willing to take care of him!
We hope he gets a good vet report. He had the sense to know where to hang around so he would get cared for.
What a lovely, lovely person you are for feeding and taking care of that kitty! Thank you!
