We have a surprise!

Update:
The earliest vet appointment was 4 pm tomorrow, so that's when I will take her.
Meantime, she is the happiest little cat. She found a toy and spends hours rolling over and over playing with it. When she is not playing, she is growling at herself in the mirror -- she is still quarantined to the bathroom -- or sleeping in a little ball on our makeshift "bed" on the floor.

**********

I would have posted earlier, but have one of the worst migraines ever. Those things waste so much of my time!

OK, I can't wait, here are the first photos of her.
Monday night (01/30/2012) was the first time I saw her.
I believe she was someone's cat because she is so affectionate and loving.
Went to feed her outside tonight, she was sitting in the porch rocking chair. She turned and let me pick her up! She puts her paws around my neck and her head on my shoulder.

I would guess she is about 5-6 months old. She is very thin. My neighbor Joycey and I were outside watching her Tuesday evening. We both think she may be going into heat. There were two very persistent tom cats here all night Tuesday. This little cat kept coming up and "knocking" on my front door. I couldn't get her to come in, she'd run off.

I'm keeping her isolated from the rest of the cats until we see the vet.
We... she and I... are spending the night in the bathroom.
These first photos were taken with her in her second favorite spot, the toilet top.
Her first favorite place is on a bed on the floor in the bathroom. She sleeps beside me with her head on the pillow.

I don't have a name, just calling her Baby Cat.
We'll be posting more after we see Dr. Smith.

Will you try to find her a forever home, presumably after spaying?

We're so glad you took her in!

The first heat reminds me of Ashlyn. Her original humans put her in a cage when she went into her first heat. We adopted her and took her home and about 4 months later Frostin was born.

OMC - the fact that she is so very loving tells all of us she for sure was someone's loving pet. I will never understand how some people can give them up or not have any ID on them in case they wander off. So happy she came to your house. Hope your mega headaches go away - they are no fun.

Oh my gosh! I am so glad that Baby Cat found you as I know you will take such good care of her. This reminds me so much of my story when I found my folks here. I was about the same age and as you can see by the photos of Baby Cat that she is in need of some food! I am glad that she is getting used to you and letting you help her. Please keep up posted on the vet visit and more photos of this cutie!!! You are the bestest of the best ML!!!

Ok, do we need to do an auction for ML to help pay for the spaying of Baby Girl. I know who to contact. Take care.

She's gorgeous. Such a sweetie.

We wonder if she wandered off from someone's home.

KC and the Giggleman Kitties said...

Yes, I figure she was someone's kitty. She is too tame and sweet to be a feral.

It's around the 1st of the month I first saw her, maybe someone moved out and left her behind.

There is a large neighborhood behind my place and I drove by this morning to see if there were any missing posters for her. I will look every day.

She may be chipped, we'll find out about that at her vet appointment tomorrow.

She's a beauty! The human says she looks to be somewhere between 5 - 7 months old, but she may just be a small kitty. I say she'll let you know her name and age when she's ready. That's how we kitties are.

Gentle purrs and healing energy for ML's migraine.

What a beautiful Baby!!
I have a strong feeling she chose you as her forever Momma...like the rest of your brood!

I'd like to think it was a heartbreak for whoever thought dropping her off to fend for herself was the best option...*grrrr*...she must have known affection and been handled regularly.
Hope news is good at Dr. Smith's tomorrow.

pee ess...We have to ramp up the Migraine-Banning Prayers for you...wish we could do more...love you!
