Catnip

The gorgeous cat in the photo is Mo. He is the Supervisor of Catnip at Prairieland Herbs and, as you can see, takes his job very seriously. Donna & Maggie, an intrepid mother-daughter team, grow all kinds of herbs and plants on their Iowa farm. They use these organically grown botanicals to create the most soothing, comforting products imaginable.

Missy absolutely adores their fresh, pesticide-free catnip. It is her paws-down favorite. She can smell it through the glass candy jar we store it in. Be sure to check out the hydrosols, which they make themselves in an old (antique!) still they refurbished. The catnip hydrosol is a wonderous thing to Missy, as long as I don't spray it on her. It also functions as a natural bug repellant for humans, quite a statement here in steamy Houston.

I can't wait to try some of their catnip! Emma of course destroyed and used up the whole bag of catnip last week, so she has no more! She's having withdrawals!

And Mo is a handsome young lad! Glad they have him to guard the catnip!

My woman went to Eye-o-wah last month and DID NOT bring us any of this amazing catnip. I can't believe it! My next hairball has her name on it.

I had no idea you lived here in Houston, Missy! That is really awesome. I'll have to tell Princess Mia right away that we found another feline in the city!

Hi Zeus...
Didn't realize you were here is Houston also. Hot as heck today, almost at 100 on Missy's front porch. Nice and humid, too. Good weather for an indoor cat to have a nice nap.

Missy says to tell you that you are a very handsome kitty.

If you do order from Prairieland, you can use Paypal, which is really easy. They ship stuff so fast.

And they throw in lots of samples and neat stuff, too. It's always so much fun to get a package from them, you just never know what all is in it!

Hi! One of Mo's "slaves" here - Maggie from Prairieland Herbs. He says hi to all you lucky kittys and of course his Pal Missy. He has his own "stash" of fresh catnip right outside the front door...as long as I don't touch that, he lets me cut the rest of what is in the garden, hee hee. :) Anyhoo, anyone who places an order...just let us know you're a friend of Missy's and we'll send lots of extra goodies and samples! :) -maggie
