Following some advice, I sat down and polished my boots...
well... shoes, since I don't own any boots.
And Sol jumps in my lap and officially declared himself MY cat!
He finally made a commitment! Yay!
And you know who you are... a thousand thanks for the boot-washing advice. It works!
KC's techno-cat auction ends tonight at midnight.
Winner #1 gets an external Seagate Drive and Jump Drive.
Winner #2 gets a geeky transparent Jump Drive.
Both great for office, home or school.
Click on the link above to purchase tickets, only $2 each.
Our sick furriends are temporarily caught up on funds, so proceeds will go to Jody, the night feral stalker. Jody always has injured or sick cats waiting for help, in need of life-saving treatments. She pays for many of them out of her own pocket (she is on disability) until she runs out of money. This money will help her provide much needed treatment for some very sick cats.
Two examples are shown below, recent rescues, Wiley and Cajun. They are sisters and very close. Jody went through some real heroics to get these two sweet girls and their brother, Aces, out of a dangerous (deadly) situation. Aces has since found a home. They are in need of medications and recovering at Jody's home.
For more info and videos see Jody's blog.
I have to warn you, Jody's world is not pretty. She sees some of the worst treatment of animals. Sometimes I can barely read the things she has written. But like she says, someone has to go help them.
When I informed Jody that she had some donations headed her way, she responded:
Thank you Cat Blogospherees, for helping me out, so often. So many cats have benefited from your kindness. Remember Mickey, who needed his eye removed and was sick, his adoptor and I communicate often. She lives in British Columbia and Mickey is very happy there with her and her other animals. You are very kind people. Purrs to all of you, from Jody and the strays of Oregon.
Jody is a real hero, dedicating her life to help feral cats that would otherwise be killed. She rescues them (no easy task, read her blog), cares for them, gets medical care and finds them homes. We want to set up some sort of fund for her, since she uses her own disability checks, and then depends on the generosity of others.

You keep saying you've got something for me.
Something you call love, but won't confess.
You've been trying to keep me guessing

These boots are made to polish, and that's just what I'll do
